Establishment of Growth foundation of India at the time of Uttarakhand flood (Very first initiative towards Growth)
Growth Foundation of India was originated at the time of major floods in Uttarakhand in 2013, which took the lives of thousands people and affected a huge number of population in Uttarakhand. After that incident group of people (professionals) decided to do something for the people of Uttarakhand and started raising donations, clothes, and many basic necessities and helped all the people by also providing basic supply kits.
Funds, clothes, rations, blankets were collected and distributed to the flood affected regions of Uttarakhand. Over a hundred government schools were damaged in the disaster. The list includes 23 high schools/intermediate schools, and 84 primary/upper primary schools. After the disaster settlement was over, GFOI adopted the education and nutrition need of 30 children who lost their families in the disaster, providing admission to them and looking after their well-being. GFOI continued their initiative to support these kids to ensure proper uprising for them
